Hey guys, as yall might have heard, im getting a body kit!!
Well,, the other day as i was looking at pictures... i was shocked to see that ther is no access to the running, yellow, lights when the bumper is mounted.
take a look at this.
http://toyotacelicaonline.com/celica1/b5qeiracing.htm
Thers usually a screw in between the carbon fiber grille that mounts the light on stock applications. But how the bumber matches up to the hood allows no space to reach the screw...
So if the bulb was to go out??? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Can some one clarfiy my question or does anyone have experience with this kinda kit
??
HELLPPP.
The kit is on its wayy!!!
thanks

well, from what i can see, with the kit that is on it's way, you completely replace front and rear bumpers and loose the marker/blinker lights if you have them in the front of the bumper. now the side lights...looks like you should be replacing the bulbs from the engien compartment, not pulling the lens off. i might be wrong. but never know

Hey,
check this picture:
http://www.onderground-design.com/display_pic.php?ID=2221&Num=01
Still no access to the screw holding the corner lights, but does have alternative for the turn signals but very ghetto.
Im still thinking about re-wiring.
But no explaination for the damn tight fit with the screw hidden behind the bumper...
please help?
does anyone know anything about the kit or my problem??

Could someone check under their hood to see if the corner lights are accessable from behind it/under the hood?
Like... is it possible to change the bulbs from under the hood without taking the lense off...??
greatly appreciated.

yea, hopefullyy,,,
just the thought of it.
Now i gotta think of a way to rewire the corners to serve as turn signals not just running lights...

hey, try getting ride of the stock bulbs and go LED, last a lot longer.......ie. which means you wont have to replace them to often, like maybe once every 10 years.....

yea, i heard that. Thats what im prolly gona do but im getting lazy, the car is an hour away and i dunno what kinda bulb is needed. Anyways, the freaking bodykit company has been delaying my progress and its making me mad. They said in a week and its been 2 weeks since they have charged my credit card and still no kit. They said it will be shipped tommorrow and should be here on monday. Their excuse is a wrong bumper, they got one for a st and they have to order another one for me. I gotta gt... wtf? anyways, what should i do??
any suggestions on the "no turn signal" situation??

you have to have some type of signal indication, the best thing you could do, is if there is no spot for one in the front, side not needed but is good idea all the sam. try looking for a LED set up that has it all. there is a lot to choose from in designs. just look around, try going into the trucking industry sections since that is mainly where they becane from and for, then you will start to get an idea of what you can do.
and on the company stalling, since your car has been in the shop waiting on their parts and they have failed to deliver on time when they specified, talk with them about cutting the cost since their mess up is costing you money.
