yeah whats wrong with us trying to get to know each other and find out about different countries and cultures? i thought we were trying to promote peace and unity, not limit it. i have made quite a few friends on this board but i never would have gotten to know them without these "off-topic threads." and yeah i went to the coffee break forum and no one from lancer forum ever posts in there. i dont want to know every one in there, i want to know everyone in here. so i go back to my original question, why dont you get your own board or at least look for it and set it up like i-club or something, with different categories for all the lancer people? i know i'd pay like $5 a month to support it, i dont know about everyone else.... so what are you going to do about this????

id pay 5 bucks a month too, clubdsm does it with the ultra board.

But the forum has died down cause all of your info freaks like Evochica, BlackevoVII, myself, and others have felt kinda offended at the way the thread has been handled in the past two weeks. Most of the informers that started threads and posted info and were gung ho have left. You kinda played a bad sheriff there Lancerz and now all the cowboys are gone.
You can't be thrilled? The forum had a good thing going and it sound like you lost your cool and blew everyone away. Just an outside view, but why kick all the good discussion on or off topic off of the board?
Our cool group had a positive impact on the forum and opened a lot of doors, and your closing them faster than we can open them. So what did you expect?
Just my opinion, if you want order, and if you want a lot of people to stay on the forum, then try this:
Get threads started about certain things, Keep those threads focused on the topic, but don't, DON'T, close all the off topic threads, Cause those threads also spark discussion. And then people post about the EVO.
If you look at the threads I tried to start, I started certain ones for mods, certain ones for info, certain ones were off topic, and certain ones for links to mods. If everyone would follow this general Idea, then it will be smoother. I see your point on certain issues, but I think you handled it wrong, but what do i know...

Ok i must admit maybe I went a tad too far. But look at it from my view. I like talking about lancers/evo's.. not someones boredom.

Im sure many others will agree with me, and many others will agree with you. Its both sided.

I understand your view, thats why this thread will be the 'off topic' thread were anyone can post whatever they want and i'd like it to stay that way.

There are more important threads then 'boredom' ones. thats all there is too it.

Your right, I see it both ways, And I do understand where you are coming from as a Moderator, I deal with it as a Network Administrator as well. You can't please everyone. Anyways, Not trying to make you feel bad guy. The The forum is for posting messages about the all might Lancer Evo, for some of us it's life, others it's dreams, and others its just something to talk about or drive. For me it's a big part of life and dream. So anyway's the topics we started were just for fun to ease our mind with some of this stress and anticipation of the Evo coming to the states. So we'll keep it on the down low, but mark my words. The pressure builds when we see you guys in New Zealand/Down under and Europe who have them already, and we get jealous easy. So you might see some wird stuff go down when it comes closer to release for us, light candelite viguals at car dealers, goat sacrifices, and the occasional "Grannies in the Crosswalk again, for 10 points" games on the street.

Why dont you just get a message board for your own site? Their are tons of pretty nice free ones availiable if you look......Or you could spend the relatively small amount of money and buy one.....and get your money back through various advertisements......and you could have a forum for off topic and one for evos all on your site! Wouldnt that be wild? So what if people want to talk about something different besides evos every now and then....When you go to work...Would you like it if you heard absolutely nothing ALL DAY but commands about what you need to do and how your work should be done? Variety is a good thing....lets not blow our heads up so big that we think that its evo or nothing....Promote some social discussion....it will get more people to come.

That kid you speak of...makinenralley is 17 and he actually lives in my city...sounds alittle to much of a coincidence but i met him at the dealership...he has a konig v-racing double wing on the back of it, 17" OZ supperleggera's, clear corners, shitty muffler, and race harnesses, along with an ugly shift knob. He is the lamest person, but I think he is right about the evo cause i have heard of this mitsubishi guy in Irvine but i never saw the car. His car looks like shit, mine on the other hand has magnaflow exhaust, tinted windows and in about a week i will have the eibach pro kitand the injen cold air intake. So next time, direct your insults somewhere else cause i have seen first hand how bad that kid is at car tuning.

Raceghost - No we dont have the EVO VII, may not get it for a while. All we have is the VI, some V's and IV's.

what are you talking about, i never called you a dork, i think you are right about the off topic thread because i go to each thread looking for modifications and end up reading a story about something that never happened or people trying to hit on a chick.

raceghost, have you gone to the dealership and asked them about the rmr products...or anyone for that matter, i want to know if the springs and intake they are coming out with will void the warranty in any way.

I know for sure with a few minor modifications that the 4G94 motor can be turbochargered withought any major problems...reason, the 4G93 is the same motor, and they have been pushing the boost to the max with those engines and their fine.

has anyone that has been here a while noticed who many morons are starting to post in here now? i'm not talking about people who lie that they know someone in the US with an Evo VII, or the people that say they can make a Lancer OZ faster than an Evo with $2,000. those guys have always been here. but i'm talking about all the morons who are saying that the Evo is going to cost $42,000, and that in Japan the STI and Evo VII sell for the same price. i think these people read about the Evo VII in some car mag and wanna be experts. is there anything we can do to kill them?
