Power steering fluid every 3000 miles? That's a first.

What's the year & model, the maint. schedule is different.

Air Filter - every 15-30K, buy a K&N and never change it.

Manual trans or auto trans - every 30K or 2yrs

Coolant - 30K then every 45K after

TIMING BELT, belts, & water pump every 90K or 105K depending on model/year.

Spark plugs, plug wires, cap/rotor repalce as needed

Fuel filter - every 30K depending on year/model

My best suggestion stop by the dealer & pick up a maint. schedule or purchase a Honda repair manual from www.helminc.com (http://www.helminc.com) not only will it tell you the schedule it will walk you through all the steps to perform these services.

Brakes should be cleaned, inspected, lubed, *adjusted every 15K.

Tires rotated every 7500 miles

you dont change your PS fluid at 3k miles...who told you that jiffy lube ? seriously...look if its a use car..change your oil, tranny, coolant, top off your PS fluid ( remember to use HONDA fluid ) and your clutch resevoir with brake fluid along with your master cylinder....this will ensure all fluid are new and fresh in the vehicle....then every 3k on your oil and filter, about 15k on your tranny ( if its an auto ) and i like to change my coolant once a year..just inspect your belts and look for fray's and so forth..check your milage aginst yout t-belt also if ti hasnt been done..there should be a sticker along the timing cover if it has been done ..well by a shop that is...take everything else as needed

i meant to at least check it with every oil change just like how u should check all the other fluids to see their condition.

I was told by the dealership recently (at least reguarding 6th gen Civics, '96-'00) that the fuel filter not need changing but every 80k or so. I went in to price it out, and when they asked my mileage (44k on my '00 Civic coupe) they told me not to worry about it till at least 70k - 80k miles. Sprak plugs they recommend changing at about every 30k. I just changed mine for the first time since the car was bought, and even at 44k miles, hard driving and several auto-X'es under my belt, and they looked as good as 44k old plugs could look. NO oil residue, carbon build up from gas, or any other irreularities on them to speak of. They just looked like they got a good life of use out of them.
