I just got back from my local wal-mart where I stopped to paruse the ever shrinking model section when i noticed a new stock. 6 old AMT kits for $5 each. 2) 57 chevy Hard-top 2) 62 Bel-air 2) (..i think 69) Mach 1. Even though i told myself I wasnt gonna buy any new kits until I get some of my in-progress models finished, i couldnt let this deal go bye, so i bought on of the 57 chevy's. Well, the good part came when i got home and opened the box for inspection. This kit comes with a complete 283 engine and a complete Blown 409!! also, the kit comes with 3 wheel sets to choose from and also 3 back bumpers, 2 front bumpers, a set of slicks for the rear, 6 grills, a lizard, and a tiki-god.
Sorry if anyone has posted on this kit in the past, im just letting everyone know to check their local wal-mart just in case...

Sounds like you got a deal!
Once at this wal-mart in Long Beach,I got a F&F eclipse for 6.99?!
Wal-Mart is a good place to find AMT and Revell Models no doubt.

Now im thinking about going back and buying the other 57 chevy kit. Because you can never have too many blown 409's laying around...

what, do they sell walls there?
ha!
There's been a few nice models in wal-mart, but one thing to look for is their color place primer, it's gray, but it doesn't go on really thick, like krylon, and it's lighter too!
I'll have to try big lots then too.

did u say big lots, noooo!!!!, the dont sell many plastic kits, more built metal ones then anything. i would know, use to work for one, ur best bet is to stay at wal-mart for great deals, or even check at k-mart too. just my $.02 cents.
