Help me out guys. I'm thinking about buying a 94' Z28...but I have some questions.

1) Are convertivles generally considered like pansy?
2) How much horsepower in the Z28? 300?
3) They are LT1 engines right?
4) Is it worth moding if it has 100,000+ miles?
5) What would u choose 94 Z28 with 100,000 miles or 93 Corvette LT1 w/ 100,000 miles and why?

Thanks, and yea I'm a newb..but I know a little bit, my friend has a Stang, my other friend has a Formula so I figure its time I joined the club.

Convertables are not pansy at all! (i want my next camaro to be one) 93-97 camaro z28's have the lt1 and 98-02 has an ls1. I have 114,000 miles on mine and I am still adding mods. I also found someone to rebuild it for $1200. I love Z28's but I would have to choose the Vette... why, cause its faster!

Oh yeah, 1 more thing. A 94 with 100,000 miles... don't pay more than $5500. There are so many out there for less than that!

If you were goin to do mods to a car with over 100k miles on it the first thing you should do is overhaul the engine just cause of all the miles. But id take the vette too, just cause its a vette.

hmmmm are converts pansy cars???? depends on how many hot girls are in the back seat ;) naw man, everyone loves convertables :)

mileage is a factor, but so long as its running strong, and isnt blowing smoke, you should be fine.

deciding between a camaro and a vette is all about apperance, and functionality. everyone i think would love to have a vette, but personally unless i had a garage to keep it in, and another car to drive day to day, i wouldnt get one. the camaro is fast, has the same fun driving style, but is big enough to drive friends around, carry stuff, get good mileage (if not great, hey it aint a honda after all) and be a better all around daliy driver. so the choice is up to you.

thanks guys...i appreciate the advice. There's a Z28 I'm lookin at now...108,000 miles, convertible, nice condition. I'm willing to go up to maybe even 6k, but I'm not sure. The vette i might be able to get for 6500 but its a nasty teal color. I don't know we'll see, but thanks again for the advice.
