SRS light on

when i bought my 98 eclipse rs the horn wasn't working to i took the steering wheel apart and cleaned metal part with alcohol and strached it a little i put it back and it work but then i noticed the srs light was on anyone know how to turn this off? it's kinda annoying. thanks

well it appears maybe when you took the steering wheel apart you disconnected the airbag... this therefore throws a code in the computer telling it the airbag is off... disconnect your battery and connect it again... that should do it.. if not let me know...

Yea then try disconnecting the battery otherwise I think the dealer will be the only one that can get rid of the light

check the fuse that operates your brake lights, mine was blown and my srs light was on, when i replaced the fuse it went off that instant. let me know if that works.
