Diesel or Z71

Some of you guys/girls know from reading some of my other threads that last week I totalled out my '04 Ex-cab 4x2 by rolling four times on the highway....well I need yall's opinion...

Originally, I had already picked out a 2500HD Ex-cab '04 Diesel 4x2 as my new ride...well my dealership has taken a couple extra days to finish up my paperwork which doesn't bother me since I have other means of transportation to and from work....but my thing is this...last night I wen't back to the dealership to just kinda look around again since this place is the biggest Chevy dealer in Austin area...<crap load of trucks...like 22 acres of 'em> Anyway, I found a '04 Ex-cab Z71 with the 5.3L V8....this thing is severly loaded, every option available <xm, onstar, power everything, LT package, heated seats...etc.> Since I have owned a 5.3L before and know its a good motor, and my payment would be almost 100 bucks less than the diesel....I guess I am having trouble deciding on which one to purchase.

So I guess I'm asking this, If you where in my situation what would you do? Any comments help guys...... :banghead:

I can't stand the smell of Diesel fumes so I would go with the gas engine. JMHO though.

WOW congrats!!! Hope you enjoy it and I hope you don't get in any more accidents.
