Check engine soon, P0430 code

Is my catalytic converter gone?! My truck only has 76K miles. Anyone else have this problem?

Take it to a dealer, catalytic should be covered under federal emissions until 100,000 miles

if there are no other codes it is probably the cat

warrenty depends on truck
lifgt duty with light duty engine is 8yr 80k
" heavy duty gas engine is 5yr 50k
" " diesel 5yr 100K

i'm asuming light duty motor is v6 and heavy is v8

1500 series trucks with v8..still considered light duty

light duty truck , v8 is heavy duty motor (i think but call dealer to make sure before you hit 80k)

V6..V8 doesn't matter on 1500 series trucks
what matters is series of truck 2500,3500,HD,med duty....etc...
