how does freeing up your air intake and exhaust give you more gas milage? some people say that have the "split fire" spark plugs can get better milage. how would that help?? and just so you dont think im a compleet retard Im a newb to mods and stuff like that

freeing up your intake and exhaust pretty much just burns all the fuel that the restrictive smaller intake and exhaust wouldn't have. until you go too big then you gain hp but lose milage. i dont think split fire plugs actually give ya better gas milage, they might but i doubt it. my dad swears by them, but has yet to see better gas milage over standard plugs. although i must say they do last longer. spliting the spark doesn't "add" more spark to your combustion chamber, just spreads out the contact area of the flame. same amount of spark, just used different

do split sparks add power?

freeing up intake and exhaust makes the engine work less, to pump the air though, this makes better power and mileage.
