patching exhaust hole without welding

hey, I was wondering..how would I patch a hole in my exhaust with out welding..what im getting 2 is....i want to gut my cat on my monte carlo..but i am in no way a welder. I would like to gut it with the cat still on the car..is there anyway to patch up a hole in the cat..after im done gutting it? THANKS...by the way..no exhaust shop will take a cat off or gut it around here.

Well what i did is... I cut off the cat and bought a straight pipe at auto zone and put it where the cat was then i used clamps to hold it in place

what year is your MC. if you have oxygen sensors make sure that none of them are behind the converter. it will mess up how the car runs.
