headlights

it seems as though my headlights dont want to work anymore. when i turn the knob to turn them on, the lights turn on, but they dont come up right away. i mean they eventually come up, but not right away. last night it took almost 5 minutes. i checked the fuses and theyre good. im stumped. please help

is it possible to remove the whole headlight assembly entirely, including the motor and put camaro headlights in ? i saw a ta that had the headlights like that, but it was a 98 or newer. is it possible on my 96 ?
