Alright i have heard many things about the lsvtec and well i haven't found an answer to my question, if built right how long will the ls vtec motor last? i have heard that if it gets built properly it will last between 20-30k miles and then you will have to get it rebuilt, is this just another myth or is this true? :screwy:

If it is built right it will last alot longer than 20-30k. Key word DONE RIGHT! If it is done right. If the block and head is newer it will last longer than if you use a block that already has like 150k on it, and a head that has alot of miles as well. If it is a new block and head, then I would say you could get almost the same life as a stock motor, but probably a bit less. I know of one that has been running great for the past 2 1/2 years (roughtly 30-40k) and is still running as good as ever!

How high are you guys reving the LS/VTECs that are being driven for long periods of time. Noremac: could you direct me to some info, or perhaps inform me a bit of how the GSR head on the 95 LS block works? is it the same as the ls-vtec with a b16 head?
