what causes life to always suck even when things are going well. got a great job and now I miss the exceedingly crappy one. not totally sold on the whole grass is greener thing because I think that I like it when things are bad? why would I like things to be going poorly?

Pessimists are always looking at the dismal and gray. Life doesn't suck. Shitty things happen and you either deal with/resolve them or you spend your life fretting about it. Nobody says that its easy, but at some point you have got to know that you are just spinning your wheels.

I don't really know. Mabee you enjoy complaining about how bad your life is, and mabee you enjoy the attention you get from others who feel sorry for you when things aren't going so great for you.
I have similar feelings sometimes. For example, I have a 10 week old son. I miss when he was tiny and didn't sleep through the night. Why, I don't really know. The only thing I can think of is I miss the extra help from family, and the extra attention payed to me when he was younger. It dosen't make sense, does it. I think most people experience feelings like this at one point or another in their lives.
Did any of this make sense??

Well, that sums up what I was thinking quite nicely.
Nothing in life goes as planned, deal with it. Life's a shit sandwich, eat it or die.

Aw-life doesn't suck. Life is life...not good or bad, just there. It's your frame of mind and your choices that make it seem great or not so great.

not to give you the idea, but i actually thought about suicide a year or so ago. find something that makes you happy, and try to do it often (drugs and alcohol are bad). look forward to doing these things that make you happy. pick up a sport or some hobby and plan to do this pretty often. find someone who has the same interests as yourself and have fun.
best tip to be given: try working out. the output physically of your body either by cardio or resistence work will release endorphins. this chemical WILL change your outlook on life. when you are enjoying yourself, your body will accumulate and produce more and more serotonin-which is the HAPPY chemical produced in your body in conjunction with dopamine.
try running, off road cycling is my new found fav., lifting weights is always fun. i am now looking into skydiving. be physical...

Working out always seems to be the advice and I gotta say it does help. Did the samething several years ago...
But I know what you mean. I'm not a pessamist, but I like confusion, problems, issues, etc. It's like a true solider back in the day, war was all they knew, "Peace is for the women" -Troy
I like it 'cause I like helping people and if there' trouble I feel needed. i like to have fun and all and whne there's not much goin' on, I emjoy my free time but I look forward to getting back to my "job" like during sporing break or something. School = drama and it's too natural not to have...

Did I say that things were going badly? I just don't know why I like living the crappy minimum wage lifestyle. Nothing beats working graveyard ya know. As far as activity. I do all the above mentioned things. Love em, but the gym sucks (weights) around here and there are goatheads all over the trails (off-road cycling). oh well, its just for the summer and then back to school. yeah!
Thanks for your concern. Wish people cared this much when I actually have real problems.
