My name is david me and my friends started a car club about 4 months ago. we went to the dragraces with my cousin cause we use my trailer.
so me and my friends want to get started in racing on the tarck instead of racing on the street like we have been doing. So we have some ?ions.
1. what is the best type of older model car to use?
2.where do we start?
3. do we have to have a license for racing?
Any information would help us greatly.

just about all race tracks has a day where they do street legal "shootouts". i would recommend going to that and get yourself familiar with the drag strip scene and run your car on a track. lotta good beginner info on days like those and noone really makes fun of you for fuckin up during a race. its alot like a trial and error day for people in their barely over stock cars.
running down the strip is alot different than racing down industrial streets. not being a smartass but... racing at the dragstrip requires alot more skill than some guy dropping their hands and you hittin the throttle.
