noise from front brake?

I had a wheel rotation done recently. I'm not sure if these events are connected, but soon after I noticed a new sound coming from the front left wheel when I press the brakes lightly. The sound goes away when I press the brakes down fully. It's sort of a squeak or chirp--one for each time the wheel turns. There's also a low, whispery sort of scratching or rubbing sound (like fingernails on cardboard), also once each wheel turn. When I roll down the window and listen carefully, I can hear a third sound, like the sound when someone drums their fingers on a table. All these sounds are coming from the front left wheel well. I'm leaving for a 10-hour trip in two days, so I'm sort of concerned. But I want to be armed with some knowledge before I go do psychological battle with the mechanic. Any ideas? Thx in advance.

sounds like when the tires were taken off, your rotor might have popped off a little, and is not spinning perfectly straight. or could just be that you need to change your pads.

I drove it on the interstate this weekend, and noticed that at high speeds I can feel a vibration through the pedal when I brake. Also, when hitting a bump going very slowly (15 or so), there's a metallic rattle that comes from the wheel, but I can only hear it when my window's down. Otherwise, it's just the squeak and rub at slower speeds. This only started happening after they rotated my tires.
