OK I just got some hood lights for my 99 accord and when looking to see how to install them I come to find out that all of the instructions are in damn :grey: Japanese :grey:.. I wanted to wire them to my turn signals so that when I have my lights on they will be on and when my turn signal is in use the particular light will blink along with it.

So my question is if anyone knows of the best way of going about wiring up these hood lights and getting the results that I'm after.

I haven't tried it before but it's a 12v application so it should work, an LED by nature is a "single filament" deal so you simply splice two wires from your turn signal (Black and I think green) and run those to the LED.

Sorry but I still think they look idiotic :)

personally i think i saw the riciest car ever last night. it was a 4 door neon, with a coffee can exhaust that hung down almost to the ground, decals on the sides and a "neon type R" sticker across half the hood, And ONE washer nozzle light

Those things were cool at first. Then everyone and there brother got them (excluding me). Now, when I see cars with the head lights, parking lights, fog lights, windshield nozzles, and sidemarkers all on: reminds me of a Christmas tree

Don't know why, but it just hit me one day when I saw this car all "lit" up :flash:

I still havent seen a car that has matched all of their lights.. then maybe it would look ok.. but no.. blue washer nozzles.. yellow fogs... hyper white lights.. and the amber signals.. eek!!! Xmas tree yes..! :D

only white, yellow or clear ones are legel to have on the car. Red, blues, and greens, are used primarliy for police, emergency, fire workers, so they cannot be on the front of the car as it would be impersonating a (one of the above).

The only windshield washer lights I like, are the ones that don't work.

i guess it depends on the person on wether they look/work well. if you already got a lot of lights on your car you shouldnt do it. i know someone who just got a new car and in under 2 days he already had some ugly a$$ chrome rims, red washer lights and matching red windshield wipers. it looks like he went digging in the bargain barrel at a "speed shop". :bloated:

i found out sat. night that ANY led washer lights are illegal, even if theyre amber or white. got a ticket to prove it. according to the cop, you can have white or amber anywhere in front as long as its a stock location, and if there were no lights there when you bought the car, its illegal in any color. btw, i got the LED lights last summer at hotimportnights in chicago, so they were actually new...i hate seeing them all over now

I think it depends on the city/jurisdiction. I talked to the City Prosecutor for Salt Lake City (Utah) and he said that certain colors were legal forward, but I know that in the city about 15 minutes south of Salt Lake City, blue ones certainly aren't but white seem to be okay.

I think those lights are soooo tacky!

We might as well have glow in the dark windshield wipers!
