low oil pressure?

I have a 97 3.2 rodeo. I have noticed that my oil pressure seem a little low, I is usually a little bit 85 when I am cruising and between 85 and 0 when I am idleing. Does this seem low to anyone? or is this normal? The owners manual says the pressure can get to 140 during cold accelleration, mine never gets over 85. any ideas would be appreciated.

I have a 96 Trooper with the 3.2 V6 in it and the same deal. I also heard about that from other Trooper owner. Try to use thicker oil in the summer and see if it changes.

When I bougth the Trooper (with 83'000 miles on it) i emediately put in 10W30 and it doesn't drop down to 0 when running. By starting the engine when cold it comes up to about half way (I think that is 85 psi?) for a second and slowly decreases with temp to about 1/4 indication.
I don't know how accurate the indicators are, but as long as you have enough oil in the engine and it gives you some indication, compared to when engine is not running, don't worry.
