So, everyone wants to compare straight-line speed to determine supercar status. Here's one for ya.

Its called Thrust SSC, its British and oh yeah, the loud noise you hear is the sound a car breaking the sound barrier! Granted it has to make a run of 14 miles to get it done and drinks 4.8 gallons of fuel per second, but hey its straight line speed.
