Good deal or should I pass?

Ok so today I stopped today to check out a crx that I saw for sale on the road today, just to look, but when I go up to it I see a dohc ZC sitting in the car where the passenger seat should be. So I give the guy a call to see about the motor and he says he has another ZC in his hatch with 30k on it, and includes motor, trans, and ecu. It has a B&M fuel pressure regulator, some sort of fuel rail and injectors, a greddy temperator guage, and HKS cams. All that for $1000. So I take a ride to go see it, and it starts up fine and idles good, but when he went to rev it up, it bogged down just like my d15 did when the EACV was unplugged. So I'm thinking it can either be some sensor or maybe even timing? So what are your guys opinion? Should I pick up on this deal or should I just go and get my own zc from hmotorsonline?

1000 for the car, for sure buy it.

if it's got a good shell and decent interior i say even if it didn't come with a motor, it's good for 1,000.

No no no. Car doesnt come with it, if it did I would have bought it on the spot.

All it comes with is Motor, trans, and ecu. Thats what I'm buying. And the motor has those mods done that I said in my previous post. So now what do you guys think?

I say get a motor from hmotorsonline because if that engine has mods done to it, its probly been driven pretty hard. So get the one from hmotors then see if you can buy the guys cams from him.

yea the cam's are about the only thing worth buying it for.

How is it over priced? For motor, trans, and ECU? I mean the long block alone from hmotors is 525. I'm still not sure if im going to buy it or not.

And yeah the guy said he can't let the whole car go for less than 8 grand!!! Its got a 6 point cage, and WW kit, and spoon wheels......I still dont see it being worth 8g's.

You can get a dohc zc compleate swap for about 600-700. And with some creative barginning im sure you can get a better deal

so just b/c you get it from there its not driven hard??? my zc came with a 7 lb. flywheel on it from there... i could also assume that engine was driven hard... especially b/c it lasted about a week...
