Can't hold boost...

I called SBR today to ask them about the progress on my car, since they've had it for 3 weeks. They said that they've spent the last three days trying to get it tuned. I am running the profec B spec 2, and trying to run a measly 15 psi on a ported evoIII. They can get it to hit the 15 psi, but after a little bit it drops back down to the actuator pressure of about 10-12 psi. No matter what they do they can't get it to hold boost. he tried boosting all the way up to 22 psi. Hit the 22 psi, but wouldn't hold it. it fell right back down to the actuator pressure. We decided to hook up an MBC to see if it was the boost controller that was causing the problem. Not sure how that will work out. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the problem might be? Anybody have any known settings for the profec b that will give me a steady 15 psi? or 18 (what I'm really looking at for daily driving.) Any suggestions on how to fix my problem or settings for the EBC would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Rob thinks that the problem might be the shitty hose that came with the profec B. plus the fact that it's almost 4 feet long. I'll let you know how the MBC works out. Thanks again for all the help.

sound like the electronics they are using is busted. a coke and a smile says the MBC will hold it at where you need it too
or it could be a bastage line leak sommers in your lines.
report back if you get some more info

Vince is the man to ask. he's got his profecB specII all setup nicely. i believe there're some settings you can change to help it. althou, the factory actuator might be the cause too. they're not very good with holding boost. i am getting both spike and creep with my car. it usually spikes first then creep.

It has to spike then creep, by definition, if you have both :D
I'm also going with the profec. If thats not it though, tell them to check the compressoe wheel if they havent already. Sounds an aweful lot like what happens when something goes through the turbo. ;) IF it was a boost leak, you would never be able to get up that high, and it would run so damn rich they would certainly know about it. Lets hope its the profec.

UPDATE: I called today and asked if they made any progress and what the outcome was with the MBC. they decided to do another leak test because they felt that the way things were working there had to be a leak. They found one this time. the throttle body is leaking. Evidently the seals are bad or something to that effect. (I forget exactly what he said) He told me the car is perfectly driveable... it just won't hold anything over 12 psi. So I'm going to pick it up tomorrow cause I"m sick of only having the motorcycle to get around on.
I don't know if it's the profec causing the problem or not. I can't see how it could be since they can get it to boost up to whatever they set it at with no problem, but it just won't hold it. I'm going to try the MBC just in case though once I get the car back.
There better not be anything wrong with the turbo!! it's brand spanking new! has maybe 40 miles on it! and I didn't have any problems with the car before I took it to sbr to have the intercooler put on.
If anyone has any suggested settings for the Profec (vince, think you could help a brother out?) I'd appreciate it. I'll let you know how everything else goes after I play around with it tomorrow. Let me know if you guys think of any other possible problems or if you think that the throttle body is it. Thanks for your help
