CD changer move

I have a 2000 328i with the factory 6 disc changer in the glove box. Can it be moved to the trunk fairly easily? Does the trunk have the wiring in place? There is a button in the trunk that says "pre-wired for CD", but I don't know where the wiring harness is.

If it's similar to my 97, I found the wiring behind the trunk liner on the right side looking from the back to the front of the car, folded back towards the filler neck. You should have 2 sets of wires. 1) The controller wiring and 2) the power/ground connection. I hope this will help.

In the 2000 it is right behind the rear drivers side wheel well. Just lift off the carpet and it is right there. If you are using an aftermarket CD changer you need the adapter.
