...so the question is, are spyders all automatics? Every single one I have looked at are automatics...it is frustrating.

No they are not. All the VR4s (Spyder or coup) are 6 Speed manuals.

I understand that all VR4's are 6 speeds. There is no question about that, but the spyder SL's, all the one's I have been coming accross have all been automatics? So are all the spyder SL's auto?

I don't think so, I think the spyder SLs came in both.

Young - there were SL and VR4 Spyders.
IbKitty - sorry, but all I saw was so the question is, are spyders all automatics which didn't make a distinction between SLs and VR4s.
So to answer the Auto vs manual on the SL Spyder http://www.3000gtspyder.com/spyder/lit_1196%20spyder_pr.htm shows that the Auto was standard and the manual was not an option.

YogsVR4 -- Thank you, and sorry for the misunderstanding. So basically if I want a spyder that is a manual, then I will just have to settle with a VR4 spyder....bummer.... :evillol:

Ok first of all, All VR-4's are NOT 6 speeds. Years 91-93 are all 5-speed manual. 94+ are all 6-speed manual. No matter if it is spyder or not, VR-4's are all manual. If it is basic or SL, then you have an option or 5-speed manual or auto of any year. An easy way to find these specs is to check Kelly Blue Book: www.kbb.com

oops.... Also, you have the option of auto/manual if you have a spyder as long as it's basic or SL

And if you take a look at the title you will see that we are talking about Spyders which there were never any in 91-93 so the VR4 are all 6 Speeds
The SL Spyders did not have a manual transmission as an option.

You are an idiot! I have personally seen SL Spyders with a manual tranny so don't act like you know shit until you can back it up. And the statement by IBKitty was, "I understand that all VR4's are 6 speeds." and I was clarifying that the 91-93 are 5-speeds! So STOP TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS! Fuckin' idiot!

Apperently you didn't read the user guidelines. No personal attacks. Good-bye
Anyone can replace the auto transmission in a Spyder SL with a manual. All it takes is the money and the time. Backing it up was the link that I posted earlier - you were the one that hasn't backed shit up. But, its to late for that since you are banned.
Anyway, IbKitty, going with a Spyder VR4 is more fun anyway :iceslolan

Yea don't be rude, try to back yourself up with facts (eg links), and who in their right mind would attack a mod if they valued their participation on a board. Must be a.... Must not say it, must not say it.... :evillol:
And that sucks that the SL spyders didn't come with a manual option.

lol, i think thats funny, the SL spyders only came in automatic, as yog said, but remember, thats from the factory. I'm sure a couple of them have done a manual swap since then, the manual swap is getting pretty common.

when you ban someone, is it a permanent ban or a temporary ban?

They have the option of a temp or permenant ban, if I am not mistaken, unfortunantly it seems they can only ban usernames, not IP addresses. I personally think a ban should be accompanied with a nice swift kick to the nuts. And I say that, because I have yet to see a chick be banned, it always seems to be these prepubescent boys angry at the world because they have a mountain bike instead of a Mitsu.

Okay, anyway, thanks again for the information, it is much appreciated. :)
