Quick solution: keep a Bible handy and when the phone rings answer with Leviticus passages.

I'm usually fairly nice to the telemarketers, as they are usually not calling for me. ;) But, there has been one occasion where I told one off. They called during an arguement I was having with someone. The company has never called back since. :p

As the old saying goes, ask for the persons home number so you can get back to them tonight.

Nah if telemarketers ring up and start asking questions, think up weird answers.

"How old are you"
"3654, I am a vampire"

I did that and they hung up after the first question:D

oh and u know if u tell a company to take u off the list and they call u back they owe u 500 dollars, and than the next time its 1000 and than more and more :)


but all u gotta do is say, hold on, drop the phone and let them wait as long as they want

In the U.S., they are trying to establish a "no-call" list you can register your phone number on. Then, if a telemarketer calls you number after you've registered on the list, they're breaking the law, and they face fines from the government.

here's one that takes the cake right here.....you have them tell you their whole sale pitch with all the options and have them go through alot of work then all of a sudden say that you have short term memory loss and ask them to repeat everything that they say.......either that or go ape shit like my dad and actually threaten them so that they shit bricks on the other end of the phone:evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh

i get a call, like every day i think its some one important. They talk to me like i know them. (they all fuken do) and then they have this thing they want me to have. They ask me if im getting calles from alot of telemarketers, i tell them yes and they said that i had told one of the telemarketers that i dont want them to call my house no more. So this phone call is to help me make that happond (wtf). :confused: :confused: anyways they tell me abunch of mummbo jummbo, that like over 20 different telemarkersts have me on their bother the shit outa list(no shit). :mad:

and then they continue to tell me that they have a device that they are gona send me for free that will kill any automated telemarketers that might call me. (im thinking cant i buy this thing at the local electronic store) and abunch of other things like they will keep them from calling my house for the next ten years. blah blah blah... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

and at the end they tell me for a single fee of $350 "we will do all this for you".....:eek::confused: :confused: :bloated: WTF!!!!!!!!!:mad: :mad: :angryfire :zx11pisse

I have caller I.D.,when they ring I quote them their number, and tell them that I work shift,do not like being woken up thankyou,and I intend ringing them back through the night every hour on the hour unless they f**k off and leave me alone.

There are companies out there that have lists of names and numbers. They sell them to other companies for "marketing" purposes. There used to a private investigator that rented space from our office. Once in a while mail still comes here for him. One time he got a catalog for ordering lists of numbers....I was pissed. I was tempted to write a nasty gram to the company, but my letter would probably be tossed anyways.

Just get them to hold and don't go back to the phone for 30 minutes.

we do the same thing with faxes just leave the phone off the hook and eventually they give up and go away (most never try again):D

I had a job as one. But went home after the interview and thought about what I was going to be doing. ====> Something I hate happening to me.

They never heard from me again :p
