Car stalled when driving on freeway

Hi all,

I have received two notices from Honda about recalls. I have gotten BOTH fixed. After it was fixed, my car was still experiencing problems starting. So I replaced the battery and it has since been fixed (for the most part). I still have some problems starting once in a blue moon.

The problem is, I was driving yesterday and the car just DIED while I was on the freeway. Had no power, so I coasted to the shoulder.

I took it into the Honda dealership, informed them and they said they cant locate the problem. They tried driving it around to see if it would happen but it wouldn't. Of course this doesn't help me. Is there anything I can tell them to help alleviate this problem? I've taken it into the dealer 4 times for this problem.

did you have the ignition switch recall done yet? That was one of the reasons for it that the car could stall. Does it start back up when it stalls? And when it stalls do all of the dash lights come on (check eng, brake lite, etc.) or does the whole gauge cluster go dark? Maybe i can help narrow it down.

I did have the ignition switch recall done. When it does stall, all of the lights come on. After 1-2 minutes, I try to start the car and it starts up again.

so it wont start at fist or you or you never tried it? or you have tried to start it and it takes two minutes before it will start?

After the car died, then I coasted to the side of the road. I would try to start the car but it wouldn't work. Then I would wait 1-2 minutes then tryy to start. The car started right away.

does it happen often? If so or the next time it stalls do this if it doesn't start. Turn the key on but don't try to crank it. The check engine lite will come on for a couple of seconds and when it goes out you will hear a click. maybe try it a couple of times when the car does start so you can see what im talking about. If it doesn't click then try to start the car if it still doesn't start i would put a main fuel relay in it. they usually only act up when they are hot and once they cool down a little they work again.

One more question when it stalls does it just cut off or does it feel like it sputters a little?
