dri5e (video)

Well, I've come to the conclusion that I will never actually finish this project, even though there's only a little over a minute to actually film/edit, but I wanted to share it with you guys (and gals) anyways. I worked pretty hard on it, and hope you like it...

Hopefully, my bandwidth won't get jacked by comcast, if it does, maybe someone can host the vid for me? It's a hair over 21 Mb, so 56k beware. Worth the wait though.

Would love some feedback on it, also, don't forget to stick around for the ending (there's a chunk of video missing in the middle).

A little about the film:
• Filmed using a Fuji Finepix 3800 Digital Camera (takes 1 minute avi clips).
• Edited using Adobe Premier 6.0
• Encoded using Dr. DivX
•I built about 7 different camera mounts out of wood, plastic, and aluminum for the car to get the shots I wanted.
• I had a few friends help getting the camera shots (they're pretty obvious which ones).
•Yes, some of the clips are sped up. That's not to make my car look faster than it is. It was so that the duration of the clips matched up with the soundtrack better.
• The song is Aenima by Tool.
• Filmed in and around Spokane, WA.

DivX is a compression format, like mp3 that compresses high-quality video down to a small file size. Just go to www.DivX.com and download the codec (which is just some software that tells your computer how to decode the compression).

yea, but if you try, your car is gonna look different unless you do it before you sell the spoiler and whatnot. or did you have all the footage and just need to edit it more?

Yeah, the wing is gone, but I think I could get a few angles without the wing and it'd be okay.

If you're using Windows Media Player to view it, it likes to screw up when you just install the codec's... just download and re-install the newest version of the player.. it has all the codec's required and usually works properly after that.

Awesome! It's nice to see someone who is also involved in videography. Me and my friend from work were planning on remaking some comercials with pun intended.

You know those commericials for new medications they have people running around all happy and satified because there herpies is under control? Then they get to the side effects and it's like (may cause headache, nausea, internal bleeding, vomiting, and stroke.)

My office buddy heard the soundtrack and he was like "WTF is that..Shawn doesn't listen to Tool" - :lol2: - but then he glanced over my shoulder and watched the whole thing. Nice ending too...pretty good job with the final scene despite the 60 sec limitation on recording...that was prolly boring to record. :(

i have the newest version of windows media player and realone player and it still wont play dude, i downloaded the codec but when i tried to open it where was a trojan in one of the files. This shit is pissing me off, i really wanna see it!

This will let you download the codec you need to watch the video using Windows Media Player:

Shouldn't be any trojans in any of those... the first link is adware though, so Ad-Aware and similar programs will probably detect it as a trojan or something.

Just download the player... no adware, no trojans...
