Hey all: Just got back into the joys of BMW ownership after about a 12 year hiatus with various SUVs, filled with kids and work-related stuff. Was able to find a '95 740i, one owner, low mileage. Had it about a week and it boy o boy I now realize how much I have missed "real" driving with one of these things.

Forgive the potential redundancy of this post but my first order of business is to find a quality repair shop in my area. Is there a referral group to check into that can give me location-specific info or do I just post here?

Thanks and I look forward to learning from all you guys and ladies.

Try bmwworld.com. They have a list of reputable repair facilities by region/state. If you don't find anything, there are a bunch of links there to other sites that might help.

I live in the Washington, D.C. area, so I know of a few here if you are nearby.
