Do you think our 4th generation firebirds would be a good investment?

i was thinking about all the old muscle cars in the 60's and seventies...my father in 1968 had a pontiac GTO which he bought brand new for 4000$ he then SOLD it for 2500 in 1971 then to get a road runner. i was just thinking if he kept those cars they would be worth some serious money right now. so my point is do you think that our 4th generation birds and camaros would be costing a good deal of money in about 30 years if they never make the bird again? what do you guys think you think its worth keeping the birdies to see what happens??? im seriously thinking about it

Man I hope so, I just picked up an '02 ragtop and your question is what came to mind about 1 mile into the test drive. Definitely makes you consider how you drive it.

if the car never makes a comeback all TA's will have a value, but the anniversery years and models will have a higher value, plus all cars have specail features like the SD 455

like koeb$ said also first year of a new model change like the first 4th generation birds or any other cars for that matter, if it was the first year they brought the convertable back or the ho motors, anything like that. but to be honest with you unless you keep it orig. the pureist wont pay those big tickets

well a firehawk is already rare, so if u have 1 now its already worth money, if u have 1 if 30 years its worth more money

the way i look at it is you buy a car to drive it. i have 156k on my car and plan on hitting 200k this year who cares what its worth your car is your worst investment..... but yes they will be worth something in the future espesially if they never make another one

o ya if you plan on having it wrth anything dont ever put aftermarket parts on it, they aren't worth anything if they aren't stock
