the install, nothing overly impressive or flashy, just simple and neat enough to make me happy

what made you chose the cadence over a brutus or a nine.1?

Cadence is a great amp... Nine.1 is the unknown area... brutus is just below cadence IMO...

brutus = power on a budget, cadence = not
Besides I've heard of some problems with the brutus monoblocks, not many (the normal amount for budget amps really), but I don't want to deal with that crap :)
Nine.1 is uncharted territory, and I don't know but Ben seems to rub me the wrong way, I feel more comfortable going with someone else for the amp.

Good thing you posted pictures of the brahma... How is that grill? Think my XXX would work with it? enough clearance? My XXX moves a pissload if I go sealed so...

Not sure how much excursion that grill can handle, I played it freeair in my room and held the grill up to see, it was moving about 1.25" and still had a bit of clearance, I'd say it would be limited to about 2" p-p before hitting. Of course you could space it out VERY easily to allow another .5-1" of excursion if you wanted to. I might just do that to be on the safe side.

I might space it out... but don't really want to if I don't have to

it was a little under $400 shipped, factory direct, 6 year warranty, yadda yadda yadda
and I'm working on that b15 porn, I took a little but the crappy framerate on the camera takes away from the effect....:(

many people criticize the LP's internal. I love it. May not look neat to some, but the constructions looks like it means business compared to the avionixx.
what made u change from the e12a to the brahma?

grill is from www.partsexpress.com
I changed because I wanted to go back to sealed, the low end of the A was just abnormally powerful. I mean it wasn't one of those things where you're like, "hey that hits low", it was more like, "wow, I can't hear any bass other than 30hz, and when I turn down the sub so I can hear the rest of the music, I can't hear anything between 40hz and my mids". I'm exaggerating a bit, but that's what it felt like. I wanted to go back to sealed but the A didn't have enough output for me when it was sealed, so a 15 was the next choice, and it went from there.
Very happy too, it sounds amazing. It can play lower than the A without sacrificing the 60-70hz region, and it just sounds much smoother and more natural. Plus it's more efficient than the A and can get louder, and sounds better on quick beats (the A didn't "miss" any, but it just seemed to lack definition and crispness on quick double-bass drums, most likely due to being ported).
