What bandwidth do you normally surf AF on?

I am just wondering whether the 56k warning for pics is getting a bit redundant. I normally sorf on 512/128 or 1.5m/256. The slowest connection I use is at home which is still 256/64.

So for this poll, please choose whether you are on dial up (56k or slower) or on broadband (256k or faster) for 80%+ of your internet usage time.

I am always on broadband either DSL or T1 but I like the 56k warnings because I can quickly pick out the picture threads

I understand where you're coming from and agree. Like when I'm downloading something else and the pics load as if I was on 56k anyway.

What I am suggesting for the future is that we simply have something along the lines of [LRG] in any thread with heaps of big pictures or videos etc. Anything that realistically requires a decent amount of bandwidth to load in an acceptable amount of time.

Hit the Print Screen button to take a snapshot of whatever is on your screen. Go into Photoshop or something and under file select New, then hit ctrl-v to paste the picture onto the new canvas.

OK, these people have responded that they're usually on 56k:
burnM, Damien, FireBball972, lakerfan1784, RallyRaider, taranaki, tonioseven

Would you guys mind if we ditched all the [big pic] type warnings in favour of something like
[BIG]
[LRG]
[>56]

Etc, for all big pic, movie and large java game threads?

That wouldn't bother me a bit.
If I don't feel like waiting for them, I don't. If I'm bored out of my skull, I do.
I'm not about to tell anyone what to do or not do... This place is free to use, so why should I bitch about it? :p
