Car will not turnover

I've replaced the battery and the starter and still am not getting anything when I try and start the car. The problem came out of no where one day. Originally when i started the car it would turn over and then act like it was not getting any gas and die. It did this about 7 or 8 times (all within a few moments) before i finally got it to start up. Once it was started it was running and idling perfectly fine. I turned the car off and 10 minutes later tried to start it again. At this point the car ceased to turnover at all what so ever. All other systems on the car work (radio, windshield wipers, lights, etc.). Does anyone have any ideas or theories on what it could be? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

This one has me stumped. The condition sounds like the starter, but you said you replaced it.

Yes, replaced the starter. I posted the same question on 3si and they seem to think that there is a possibility that some components in my ECU have gone bad.

Well I have given up the good fight. Honestly I just don't have time to figure it out and am getting extremely antsy to get back behind the wheel. She goes to the mechanic tom. Thanks for the advice and I will let all know what the problem was incase anyone else has a similar issue

The ignition switch itself was not going bad. Once they looked a little farther they found out that the cover (terminology?) to the ignition/starter switch had come or broken off. They replaced it and it works perfect. Should have kept working on it myself . . . . easy fix

Yes, most definetely. There's nothing like getting back behind the wheel of your car after being taunted by it not running.

First off welcome to AF,
secondly, what sort of ECU problem are they telling you that you have.
I'm sure someone on here knows where to get an ECU, I can think of a few ways to get a used one, but I'm not sure that is the route you want to take.
Thirdly, since it's your first time posting, it isn't that big of a deal, but next time please don't bring back threads that have been dead for a month. If you have a question such as yours that isn't really related to the thread...start a new thread and post your question.
Again welcome to AF, and just let us know what exactly the dealership is telling you and we will be able to help you more.
