I'm having trouble starting my 1993 Chevy Suburban.
Everything seems to be fine except that every day or so I have trouble with what I believe to the the ignition or starter switch or the solenoid? Once contact is made it cranks right up. But somewhere in the key switch is the problem I think. I thought if I could remove the ignition switch I could clean it and it could get better contact. Used to be that I had to turn the key extra far around before contact was made to get it to crank and now I get nothing. Everything seems fine on the rest of the engine I just had a new engine put in and now I believe the starter or ignition is bad. Always something! Can anyone tell me how to take out the ignition switch or if you have another suggestion.
Help!

The lock cylinder is bad, use a acdelco lock cylinder(the thing you put your key in) ones from autoparts stores usaully suck and won't last. you will need a sterring wheel puller kit available to rent from most auto parts stores. byrdman
