Security Idea

Hey I have and idea for security. Often times if you have an alarm you worry about someone popping the hood and turning it off. I know they make hood locks for this reason. But if you dont wanna do that could you move th Hood release button. I mean keep the stock one there just so people think it works then have it hidden somewhere else like the trunk etc. What do you guys think and how would someone go about doin this and would it take a lot or cost a lot.

I would just get a back-up alarm battery installed and a pager alarm, so you know when the alarm goes off you can go check on your car.

Or you can pin switch the hood so that your alarm will trigger when opened. Battery back up is a good idea to. Most thieves wouldnt bother trying to open the hood. To much hassle and the shock sensor is right behind the firewall. They would crawl under the front of the car and clip the power from the battery. Relocating the battery leads would be a good idea also. I will give you an A for trying though. Im always looking for new security ideas

haha an idea i thought of which is more humerous than practicle is to have two leads in the shift nob, that connect to the ingnition coil, that is switched by a hidden switch. Not flipping the switch before starting the car would be a drastic mistake. mwahaha

relocating the hood release is quite common for ppl that dump alot of money into their rides. Only downfall is its alot of work.
