hi i am running one 02 sensor with one wire on my b16, but the stock exhaust mani had two 02 sensors, how many sould i run? what hapens if the sensor is damaged, the car runs poor? another question, does a coolant temp sensor from a d16 fit a b16 and the intake manifold temp sensor to?

you should run 2 o2 sensors, if you're running with an aftermarket headder, adding another o2 bung is not tough.. all you need to do is find the correct size and thread pattern, drill the correct hole size and weld the nut onto the hole and screw in the sensor.. not sure about the coolant temp sensor.. sorry

ok thanx, anybody else? I ask because i dont know where to splice the second o2 sensor. i can only see one wire and that one is already in the 02 sensor that im runing. any sugestions because a friend of mine told me they only run with one 02 sensor, obd0 first gen.

You need to run a new wire for that, rather than doing it using a guide I just bought the Hasport wire kit... LAZY but looks good and works right. The intake manifold sensor seemed to work just fine for me (took the old one off my old D16) they look exactly the same and I got the same resitance as the book said for it at a specific temp... as opposed to the one that came on the B16 which was shot.

mmmmm didnt know hasport had one of those kits, thanx for the info, but still dont know about the coolant temp sensor.

i just ran one on my da with a b16 you use your harness off your current motor not the jdm harness and it will only have one o2

so should i leave it as is with one 02 sensor? it makes sense that i am using the wire harness of the car not the motor, thats why the 1 o2 sensor, but the motor originally runs with 2, so what should I do? does it make any diference? and the coolant sensor?

if yourcar originally runs with 2 which it shouldnt hook 2 up as far as the motor i would go on and get a header so you dont have to o2 holes or get one of them welded up.

Many people have posted that it will run like crap with just 1. you swap the computer as well as the moter and the computer is looking for 2.

i put on a dc header with one bung on a b16a1 last night. what i did was i hooked up the primary oxygen sensor to the headers. the wire will most likely need to be extended since the sensors on the b16a1 EM are alot higher up. with the second oxygen sensor i just found a place off to the side away from the engine and i just zip tied the sensor onto it. remember to reset your ecu after. suprisingly no codes. and runs fine.
