1/4mi times

i went to dragway 42 in west salem, ohio, and ran a 13.6@105 with a 2.1 60' and 8.9 1/8mi. any good? i think its scooting. still on open diff at about 12psi on 195 all seasons.

also, what would i expect to run with a 390whp sr-240sx all street? (dr's at most). very high 11s? i know im asking the impossible but i just want to get a ballpark because i have the opportunity of buying a 400hp s13 in the next week... test driving it monday :naughty:

11's is hard for sr motor man you should know that the power band isnt that good for drag and their are only a few sr20det in the 11'sec range.. but all the luck to you i hope you get there.. and add to the list.. nice times btw.. how much hp on 12psi? 250+right..

put a kaaz lsd in that sucker and get some better drag tires, I bet you will get much better times. Or try drifting, get some suspension mods, your set-up screams drifter

thats a typed copy of the slip, open diff it was a week or so ago and i chiped 2nd prty hard. i think if i grany'd it some more i could acomplish a slightley faster time. no matter who the driver is there is alwase room for impovement

also turbo2nr whats your beef with 240's, every time i post on here youy got somthing nockin em sayin they cant run times theres a hatch around here running 11.8 on his previous setup. you act like its imposible to see a 10 second 240sx. i remember asking you once who would win in a race and you swore the dsm would. he ran a 13.1 then blew a 14b..so when he raced me.. guess who won... you post on a forum you should at least support the cars on the forum's if u dont like 240sx's why do u even bother posting. you guyys alwas say the SR isnt the drag motor. hey just stick with your KA24 spin a main, i know the owner of a swap shop eveyone comes to him when there ka's blow! 90% of his swaps he says the engines blown. i blew mine when my car was an automatic with no mods whatsoever. you can make fast whatever you want it just costs $, theres hondas runing faster than me. dont say u cant drag with a SR cause i do. theres plenty of 10 second SR's call me a ricer w/e

its a 5-speed now i converted it when i swapped. i used the past tence. somone told me the only reason i ran that 60 foot was cause i run the stock clutch, witch i think is bull, if i had any clutch i should be able to performe the same, if anything i'd be more consistant.

Its about fucking time somebody on here supports drag. I do prefer the KA but I'm glad somebody on here is original and drags the SR. I don't care if it isn't a drag motor. If it can run 11s, then that is pretty damn fast. Congrats on the time, Its faster than mine. 15.9@89mph minus the toyos.

umm i love 240sx my former forum name was S20DET2NR ask around when i first came to this forum i wanted a 240sx with a sr20det you younger memebers wont rember this b/c you werent here when i was.. but i have no problems with sr20det and 240sx i think that they are great motor with great potiental.. great desing and can hold up against serious abuse (drifting) i never said the sr cant drag.. and in the top of the post i congratulated mynismo on his time and i hope he would get in deeper in the e/t's.. the reason i told you that you would loose to the dsm is b/c i wast sure wht you had and what he had and if he ran a 13.1 and he didnt blow his 14b then who would win? im not one to judge b/c my car isnt fast at best im a hi 14sec car but thats on 8psi.. when i boost 15psi i will be well into 13's range with a sohc 13yr old motor.. the reason i post in here is to try and help newbies that dont know as much as some of us.. try to give them advice and put them on the right direction.. but some people dont appricate it..

...i like drag too...besides...drifting is a lot more expensive, and i think there is a greater chance of blowing up...

a 1.9 60' is impossible with stock clutch and a 13.2 trap at 102... something aint right. you sure you're time wasn't the 14.1? 240's usually have a launch of around 2.2-2.4. there's no way you can get a sub-2 time unless you are on drag radials and/or lsd. my trap for the 13.6 was 105... a 13.2 would be close to 108...

250 max. im still on the stock turbo, stock injectors, etc. im guessing its around 250whp because a lot of the sr 13's i know can't get past a 14.3 with the same mods i have.

i know it screams drifter... it has drifter written all over it. one problem: i aint a drifter :biggrin: im more drag...

but for now i just want my damn maxima. i love that car. it never has any problems and is such a god damn reliable car.

turbo cars always need a little money thrown at them for maintenance, but i think about my car way too much and the longer i have it the more money i put into it. its burning hole... right through my job and my pocketbook.

Here in Aus, turbo sr20's are fucking everywhere so nothing new. But the 1/4 times you have are respectable. I like the look of the car, the sorta sleeper/clean look, too bad the sound/fmic discounts the sleeper part.

p.s: my 180sx sr20det did 14.5 down the track, so you shit on me!

yea fully sick, aussy must be awesome, i hear how there are bunch of 240s there all the time. first time down the track i got a 14.3 with cat, then i managed hitting a 13.9 that night. then i popped on the test pipe and times went down to consistent high 13s (13.7's...), with the occasional 13.6. test pipe does a lot.
