So for several weeks in MAy, Alex's (my hubby) car was getting suspension work done.....custom that is :D He is putting airbag suspension in. The front is done and the rear will get done after July 4th, and after we get a 3rd vehicle. So far 50 hours have been put into the front end. Alot of trial and error and roadblocks. But it went back on the road again about 2 weeks ago. Here's a few pics....

Man, that's sweet!
Tell your hubby, if he's ever in Canada to give me a call...
He can slam my Caprice in the weeds!!
BTW... What kind of wheel/tire combo is that?

Air bags? Is that all? I'm thinking you should add a 2 inch body drop to that!
What does he have in mind for paint?

one of my mechanic friends owns a '92 Road-Monster, in that exact same color, and has had the same plans (to dump it on chrome wheels and bags). i'll have to show him these pics for inspiration.
of course, he changes cars monthly, so he might abandon this plan pretty quickly if i know him.

Honestly a body drop will only lower it by just another inch, so it's really not worth all that extra work.
As for future mods...more stuff shaved, interior/stereo work, and of course a paint job  The motor has almost 180,000 miles on it and it still purrs like a kitten, but we are going to start setting money aside for a rebuild, because something is bound to go at sometime. He is still going back n forth about building a whoopass motor.
The side mouldings, emblem on trunk and the hood ornament have already been shaved. New bumper to come and possibly a custom roll pan on the rear.
The finished product is still a long way off.
As for the wheels, they are a new brand (new to me anyway0 called Motto and the tires are Falken Azenis's (sp?)

Kat, is he doing all the work himself? Looking at all the pics of suspension and frame work he's doing an excellent job. Take a lot of pics of the rear work please

No, a friend of ours is doing most of the the welding/cutting and fabrication. Alex worked on rebuilding the front end (bushings, ball joints, etc.) and also being an extra set of hands. 50 hours went into the front end, and they are predicting the rear will be 130+. It will be bridged then all the final set up the of tank/compressors/valves etc will be designed...along with design for the stereo system components as well.

Thanks for the info. That's cool though. Either way, the quality looks excellent. That amount of time sounds about right for rear end build, going to be a lot of cutting and measuring that's for sure. Keeps us updated once the build up re-continues.
