1991 Trooper Diesel

I have a 1991 Trooper. Basic White/black trim that i have just finished...errr....almost finished redoing the exterior. I fixed all the dings/scratches on a rust free very straight body. The engine has 175,000 miles on it. I really would like to retrofit the engine with a diesel engine. I know that in '91 they put diesel engines in these in the UK. Can anyone help me out here. I have always liked diesel engines and think that this would be a good application, especially since the tired 2.8L V6 needs a grave anyway. I will post some pictures once i get the bumpers on the Trooper. I removed all of the accessories prior to paint and had all of the hardware pieces powder coated black. It really looks good with new paint now.

Also, if anyone has an idea where i can get an aluminum roof rack (Hummer like) at a good deal, let me know.
