Between these models which do you think is the best to modify (regardless of purchase price of vehicle)? Which responds to modifications the best and is the cheapest to modify? With a minimal amount of modifications which of these cars would win a 1/4 Mile race, a 40MPH-120MPH highway/freeway race, and a road course race? Remember a minimal amount of modifications (no more than $3,000). Name your top 5, and the car that you believe to be the best, please specify why?

For 1/4 mile I'm going to go with 2004 SVT Cobra.
Insanely easy to make power on.

Actually with 3,000 mods they are not as far off as you may think, well atleast not in the 1/4 Mile. As far as comparison goes, just want to know what you think the best one is to modify, but your right the NSX doesn't belong with these cars.

RX7, HUGE after market for Rotaries.
Also the SRT4 has a HUGE catalogue of factory-backed mods.
And the EJ25 in the STi should also have its fair share.

5. bmw m3 4.subaru wrx 3. mazda rx-7 tie between the supra and s4 in my opinion the supra probrably has the largest amount of aftermarket accesories while the s4 could get better turbos and a chip and say good bye because it already has great handling

EVO should definitly be up there, especially over the STI. I mean out the new class of Sports Cars (STI, 350Z, SRT-4, and RX-8), the EVO so far is the only one to crack the 10s in the United States (Street legal), and it's nipping on the 9s (Actually their is an EVO III in the USA that runs 9s)-

Also here is an EVO with bolt ons and reflashed ECU vs. a Turbo Upgraded and much more STI. The EVO lost, but it hung with the STI-
