i've been having major trouble with my car lately...almost every shift from 1st to 2nd grinds gears (if i'm above about 4500rpm's)...it'll grind about 80% of the time when i'm about or above 4500...anything below that, it grinds maybe 5% of the time....people have been telling me it's the synhcros...others tell me it could be bent fingers on the pressure plate......well here's the major problem....i only have about 800miles left on my transmission, short block, clutch and turbo before the warranty is up and my mechanic has been sick.....if it was the pressure plate, should i just buy a whole new clutch? (thinking about Centerforce)....if it were the synchros, how would i go about obtaining the correct parts and how hard is it to replace synchros? but here's another thing to think about...
*if it were the synhcros, wouldn't it ALWAYS grind gears from 1st to 2nd?
*the other day i hit almost 7k, double clutched and no grinds....did it once again and no grinds.....tried it last night and it grinded when i double clutched
*but then again...if it was the pressure plate wouldn't it grind through all the gears?
thanks for any help...

just try replaceing the tranny fluid with either GM sycromesh or BG syncroshift. If that doesnt fix it its most likely your syncros as long as your clutch feels normal. That fixed my grinding.

i forgot to mention that my clutch is a bid odd......it's normal when i drive the speed limit...but as soon as i get on it, it either turns to mush or vibrates the hell outta my foot...dunno if the clutch is bad or what...
