Desperate, help

I have to other threads running about this. I am trying to replace a head.
I am to the point of putting it all back together. I have a couple cam followers that can just fall off there mounts. I put new las adjusters in and it is the same thing. Would the head being milled make this a problem. How do I fix it. Need to get this car on the road so I can get my truck back. It is a 94 thunderbird 4.6 Thanks :banghead:
