ask her if it has ran since she got all the new wires etc.... and ask her if it tries to start, backfires or just cranks

If its been sitting in her yard, on the grass, make sure and have a damn good look underneath to see if its rotten anywhere.

unless you plan on changin out the motor i dont know how much you want that car. the 2.8 would be very disappointing...

so its totally dead when she tries to start it?
NailZ69
06-12-2004, 11:57 PM
i dunno i didnt get to talk to her today she wasnt home all day...but lets assume its that...so??
korndogg
06-13-2004, 12:36 AM
if its totally dead then i would assume its something with the battery. i get alot of these at work. if its a good battery then i would think that the battery either has a bad ground or maybe the positive cable is bad. it could be worn through somewhere and grounding out on the body or the terminals could be bad. if its not the battery id be suprised. that is if its totally dead. oh and by the way...thats a kick ass car man.

68chevelle
06-13-2004, 06:46 PM
yeah he hasnt been around in a while, and anyone who missed that exciting time in ridges life, go back and find a rearend thread started by him, it will explane it all, (about 2 or 3 months ago maybe).
oh and to korndogg, look into a color called indigo(spelling) blue. its like a 97 chevy truck color. but if you put in a pearl it changes it alot amd makes it dark so that when the light hits it its a dark rich blue but below a body line where there in no direct sun it will look almost black. its what im gunna do. it looks great.

korndogg
06-13-2004, 08:34 PM
yep
68chevelle
06-13-2004, 08:42 PM
oh ok. umm, i dunno. it depends on who you have do it and what else they do. like if there is any body work. or if you do it yourself it will be less expensive. but you would have to have someone that will do custom colors. the car i saw it on was a 64 chevelle at a guys shop that i know. he had somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000 in the body work and paint. its been there for almost a year probably but it is staying there while everything is being done. but it was in bad shape before he started to thats why its so much, and the he makes it as perfect as it can be before he sprays so he has lots of hours in it. but if all your doing is paint then its probably not going to be much. just call around and get estamits.
korndogg
06-13-2004, 08:46 PM
well i have a little bit of body work like some bubbling in some paint and stuff and a very little amount of rust...im almost positive where the bubbles are there is bondo. so im prolly gonna have to get that filled in with steel. a guy i know said mayb 2 grand for body work and paint.
