yeah thats what i said i mean i klnow its possible for the car to have 43k miles on it but i know its not true b/c the tranny was never touched when he restored the car just engine so i don't think the 700r4 would blow after 43k i could see 143k tho

ridge_runner

well it could blow at 43k if it was run really hard and abused, like neutral drops etc....

By the by, how much damage does it cause to you tranny when you shift at a high rpm, five or up?

blueturtle
06-13-2004, 12:26 AM
i think it just causes wear mabye some damager if u push past redline b/c moving too fast and overheats (mostly if auto)

So shifting before redline, or up till red line is just fine then...im kinda i dunno, sorry if the question gets a tad dull

well the more you do it the faster it breaks take my friend for example he shifts at 6k to 7k every time and he has a brand new car now it has 26k miles on it but i don't think his tranny's gonna last longer than 50-60k
