Chevy turbo 350 trans won't shift into second

I have a 1988 Chevy 1500 with turbo 350 trans that won't shift into second gear unless I am manually shifting. It just shifts from first to third under any throttle position and downshifts into first when it downshifts. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds Like You Need To Get Your Tranny Rebuilt...or Better Yet Buy A New And Improved One, If You Want To Upgrade.

If your 88 model truck is stock, you should have a 700r4 tranny. If it is a turbo 350 you could check the vaccum modulator and if it is getting vaccum. If its good then yea you need a tranny rebuild.
