Ran the POS tonight.

Well, twice this week. Trailered it up wednesday, and broke on the first run. Boost was accidentally set at 30 psi, and I hit 65 pounds per minute. Knocked enough that I had to let off halfway down the track. VC boot blew up and spewed grease everywhere. UCIP came apart. Barely got it back on the trailer before the tornados blew through, lol. The good news is they gave out rain checks since we didnt race for an hour even.

Fixed the UICP (roughed up the pipes so the couplers could hold), and said F that CV boot.

Trailered it back up tonight to cash in that rain check and have another go at it. All runs were low 12s at about 115/116. Last run I broke, but it still turned out to be the best. Shyte sixty foot time of 1.80, and had to let off in 4th again. The battery/alternator died (was struggling with it all night) and the ignition just wouldnt work. Had to get towed off the track. 8th mph was 97, so that would have been a 120+ mph run. Ended up at 12.01 at 115. Threw it on the trailer and watched Chad run the rest of the night.

New turbo feels laggy, but it doesnt seem to be affecting my times. I ran 12.0s at 119 last time out. When I get a chance to drive it on the street I can find out when I get full boost at.

All in all not a bad set of runs for 22 psi and pump gas. But there is a list of bugs to work out before I go back... ;)

I sold the Profec and put in a MBC. Didnt want to waste 5 runs to set the boost, so I turned it in a couple turns to get started. Wether because of my 20 pound spring, or something else, its really sensitive. I have it backed all the way out and I'm at 22 psi, lol.

30 psi is what I plan to run anyway. Just not on pump gas with half assed settings. :D

Just like nefarious2o9 said 30psi boost, I read what his b/s said it was kind of funny but the 30 psi boost is true tho, it is not a theory either

i never said you cant run 30psi of boost! he was stating hes motor was stock/barely modded... and he was runing the stock side mount intercooler... running 30psi of boost and puting out 389hp to the crank! thats bullshit!

but on the other hand... a built motor will definately handle it!! i know it will and i never once said it wouldnt! if the motor was built!

How many lbs/min was the 60-1?

The most I saw was 62, but I'm not sure I trust those airflow numbers I was getting. It makes much more sense with the new meter.

Breaking news, I have tons of blowby, smoke pouring out of the valve cover in a bad way. Also, the dish on the number 4 piston was completely filled with fuel. I didnt have the compression tester handy unfortunately, not sure I want to know either. I could have it rebuilt and in the car in a week, but I think I need a break...

I just wouldn't imagine it's so fun to rebuild the motor more than every year :)

lol what a fuckin weekend... shit man i am up the same crick! finally took time off work yesterday so i could get my GST up and running! well i got the new clutch fork and the throwout bearing in and i was on the way home to eat supper and i was fuckin around and i launched it at a stop light and once i hit second the car rev'd WOT! instantly i shut the car off but it was too late! i looked under the hood at all the connections and everything i could think of and couldnt see anything... so i got back in the car and tried to push the pedal to WOT and i heard click click... so i figured a cable came loose... nope! the spring on the throttle body broke and was holding it WOT! called up my buddy and he came with his truck and trailer and we trailered it back to my shop where i spent all of last night working on it...found out i got valve float on the 2nd and 3rd cylinders and bent all 4 of the intake valves out of those cylinders! so i spent the last 14hrs working on my car and trying to find out what the fuck happend, but i got the head off and its already at my parts store being rebuilt... at $89 a valve its not cheap! i took it to him an hr ago when they opened at 7am and i stayed there until he got the valves out and made sure everything else was fine... valve guides didnt get hurt nor did the valve seats! so i just needed new valves and springs which he has to order tomorrow morning and i should have it back by tuesday afternoon when i get back from goin to see gstclips! so there goes 6-700 (depending on what they charge me for labor) out of my pocket just cause a little fuckin spring! now i have to get all new gaskets and take off another day of work so i can hopefully have it running before next weekend!

as for the RST... clutch is so bad its barely even drivable, and i broke an oil line so i have to make another one of those! luckily that didnt wreck anything... so my only vehicle is my motorcycle right now and it has rained the last 23 days out of 30! I HATE FUCKIN RAIN! just my luck! oh well the RST will be up and running in a few months, i'll give that one a break and beat on the GST for awhile... anyways, i am off to bed, see ya in 8 hrs!

That 89 dollars a valve is a typo right? I paid 10 a valve for 1mm over nitride coated stainless! ~180 for all 16.

just roll on it and pull back! you'll get the hang of it... anyways i am getting sick of the bike, to slow, i have had it for a year and 3 days and i want a different one already... i am planning on either getting a 04 R1 or a 04 GSXR 1100 by the end of the year! i wouldnt mind the busa 1300 but they arent that fast out the hole... the GSXR will whoop its ass in the 1/4 mile and thats the length i like to go fast! just full throttle for 1/4 mile and i'm good...
