i figure that the aftermarket springs for the V-6 cars and the V-8 cars are different. now here's my question: since the suspensions are interchangeable between the two, what would happen if i bought say eibach lowering springs for a V-8 and put em on my car? would it make the suspension stiffer cause the eighter springs have a higher rate, or would just screw everything up?

It may be a bit stiffer, prolly not even noticible difference between them and a set for a 6 tho, I highly doubt it'll screw things up either.

I would think your suspension might sit higher because those springs are designed to lower a car with the extra weight of the V8.

yea i agree with dober, it might not even actually lower your car, i would find out how long a v8 front coil is and how long a v6 coil is, if there the same then yea it would lower your car the 2-3in it claims but your sus. would prolly be stiffer

yeah i think you guys might be right on the difference in ride height between a sixer and the eight. however, i dont think that the length of the spring would matter, i just figure that the eighter springs would have a higher rate to compensate for the added weight.
im mainly asking because ive found a number of sites that carry springs and im trying to get the lowest price, just some sites dont have the sixer springs...
