Hasport sells a kit that will allow you to install any B-series motor into an '84-'87 Civic/CRX. Most people prefer to install a D16A1 from an '86-'89 Acura Integra. The D16A1 is a 1.6 liter motor and is a direct bolt in for a first gen CRX. The american version of the D16 produces 113HP and the Japanese ZC version produces 137HP. A stock '87 CRX SI produces 97hp, and in a car that weighs about 2000 lbs, 40HP is a huge difference. You can also add on a cold air intake and header/exhaust system to get even more power out of the D16. Forget about an H22 motor, unless you are building a drag car. It's just too much weight for this little car and it will handle extremely poorly!
