I really like how messy it is, it makes it look more like a concept sketch. You should see some of my sketches, they are messy as hell.

heh yea...I aggree about the unnecessary squiggles and all and yea I am using a pen for the lines and pencil for the shading. This is just a rough sketch... thats why it looks messy- but I will post a better version soon.

Excelent car design site, the boards are really helpful too!
You're feel is very professional, and I can't say too much. Just a couple things. It looks as if the car on the paper is rather small. Try getting some bigger newsprint paper (or any other sketch paper). Then your drawing can be a lot bigger in all directions, AND you can add more detail. I'd expand on your reflections as well, if I were you, that's what I'd explore with, reflections.

Yea I'm a member of cardesignnews (known there as whitepawn).
You're right, the sketches were rather small and I believe that my reflections and shading style is still poor. But I'm working on it.

as i posted earlier, i like your sketches. they are very loose and free, yet convey some degree of accuracy to design nuances.
it is clever of you to use the bleed-through marker base-sheet thing to draw the sketch on. you made the bleed marks into a sort of interesting 'design panel' or flat.
as bold as the concepts are and competently sketched, i am wondering why you do not convey an equally economincal use of contrast to create sheet metal and glass f/x? this can be done extremely quickly and efficiently. being a member of the cardesigners site, i would think you would have gotten a clue about how to do that by now (unless you are witholding drawings none of us have ever seen).
i mention that only because instead of leaving the sketches as purely line drawings, you have attempted texture. so why bother doing that if you will not follow through with it?

in the beginning, it is important to draw, mimic, what you see from nature. then you can invent your creative scenarios convincingly. if you do not observe the natural world, then how can you create a fantasy world that is acceptable to the eye?
take yourself out with paper and pencil and observe the world all around you. take a hard cold look at the mirror-like quality of glass, water, metal. what does light do on this surface? how is it you can see through water or glass whilst it reflects things back at your eye, too? and how do you show this?
you need to examine this very seriously. and make mistakes and fail. and then you will learn. the only tutorial is suffering through failure. force the pencil to bend to your will. make it suffer with you.
there are millions of cars per square acre near you right now. there is no excuse for you to not have resources. taking a walk is for free. pack some water and snacks to offset the painful time ahead of you.
