tell me if i'm wrong, but isn't VTEC only found in HONDAS???

if so...then laughing my ass off at this kid with a Dodge Stealth with a VTEC sticker in the back of his car was worth it...
if not...ohh well....it was a good laugh while it lasted....

but it doesn't quite fit...DODGE - VTEC....hmm..doesn't have that same sound as HONDA - VTEC

yes, honda only. other companies have their own variation of varibale valve timing but honda has vtec only

its sadly true, when i was recently inquiring my mother why she didnt purchase an integra instead of a civic (which i inherited for 4k), she replied that it was an acura (like it was good enough for not to buy it). it was a sad day in my life

BMW has the technology, so does Nissan and Toyota.

Buy they're all called different things, ex: VVTL-i

Ford's Zetec and GM's Ecotec & Vortech arent even variable valve timing. they just have "tec" in the name so consumers will think it has more performance, like honda's VTEC. Its the same concept as the new "HEMI" dodges... people hear hemi and think back to the days of shitty wedge heads when hemispherical combustion chambers was actually an upgrade. nowdays, almost every car on the road is a hemi. Its just an advertising technique that works on the uneducated.

a few company use the dual rutter manifold but as for varible valve timing, only companies i can think of off the top of my head are honda, nissan, toyota. could be wrong on that though.
