i bought this civic a couple of weeks ago for $150, it ran fine, the engine would just kind of stumble when accelerating at low rpms, then today i drove it to work it got there fine, but then when i went to start it up the engine wouldn't turn over, i thought maybe it was the fuel filter so i put a new one in, but nothing, i have new plugs that i can put in, u guys think that would fix it or is it like the fuel pump or something else? any info would be great, thanks

Well, let's make sure we all mean the same thing. When you say it won't turn over do you mean nothing happens? Please clarify.

OK, do you hear the pump cycle on and off when you turn the key to the Run position?

You could look in the filter for gas or you could try starting it a few times and snif the tail pipe for gas fumes.

If the pump is working try testing the igniter (Autozone can help here), the main relay, and look for codes on the ecu.

when you turn the key on, you should hear the fuel pump prime for a couple seconds then stop

you say it has power, but does the engine crank at all ? do you ahve spark ? any codes ?
