One of our old cats went a little thin on top as she aged, and so used to get a little burnt around the ears.
Some vets also offer a tatoo service on ears for cats with short white hair. (tatoos dont get sunburnt.)
Now due to the rather pointless nature of this thread I swore I wouldn't post in it. Now look what you've made me do: Prove my self wrong on two counts. :devil:

Phew........thought you might just have gone a bit postal with the Phillishave there for a moment.....images of Moppie trying to shave a cat kept poppping up from the dank dungeon that is the basement of my mind......
Of course most cats do not like to be shaved...they prefer Whiskas....
