Air Condition sucks

hey ppl, its gettin near summer, and i realize my a/c sucks a nut, the other day.. it took almost 5 minutes before it started getting cool, my friends 92 camry almost instantly blows out cool air, i have a 96 accord ex sedan, and im just wondering how i can fix that... do i refill the antifreeze or something? sorry for bein such a newb i jus need help with this thx

The only way you can get your car to blow the cool air quicker is get a recharge on your A/C system. If this is for your '96, then it may still use Freon instead of R-134a. Either way, you have to take it to a shop and have them recharge the system for you. I would not recommend that you attempt to do it yourself since both refrigerants are not pleasant to be near if they escape, plus you need specialized equipment to recover the old and gauges to monitor the pressure in the system.
